Liyu Mountain, named because “Liyu” 鯉魚 means Carp; the mountain is shaped like a giant carp. It’s a 75 meter high hill, with wooden steps that inform you how high up the mountain you are going. Banyan trees are a distinctive part of the flora around Taiwan (as in many places in S.E. Asia).
